About Dr. Paula Terrenzi
For as long as she can remember, Dr. Paula has been fascinated by the human body and the way it moves. As a lifelong athlete and former basketball player, she developed an early appreciation for the importance of movement, injury prevention, and recovery. That passion for athletics, combined with her curiosity about human anatomy and biomechanics, naturally led her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Dr. Paula earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University in 2020 and completed an additional two years of specialized training in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT). She combines advanced hands-on treatment techniques with individualized exercise programs to help patients move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love.
Her clinical expertise includes orthopedic, pediatric, and pelvic floor physical therapy, allowing her to care for patients across every stage of life. Whether she's helping a baby learn to crawl, guiding a basketball player back to the court, supporting a new mom through pelvic floor rehabilitation, or helping someone return to gardening, playing with their grandchildren, or simply walking without pain, Dr. Paula believes every goal deserves the same level of care and dedication.
She is passionate about working with individuals of all ages, abilities, and activity levels—from elite athletes striving to optimize performance to those who simply want to move comfortably through everyday life. Her background in athletics, combined with her advanced clinical training, gives her a well-rounded perspective on movement, allowing her to create personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based, goal-oriented, and tailored to each patient's unique lifestyle.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Paula enjoys cooking, baking, staying active, and spending time with her family. She loves swapping recipes with patients, so don't be surprised if your appointment ends with a new dinner idea!
